If you are running both the on-motherboard video chip and an add-in video card at the same time that in itself could be the cause of your issue. Unless the computer hardware documentation specifies that you are able to operate it with this configuration, I wouldn't do it. It is quite common in desktops at least that the on-board video is automatically disabled if an add in video card is detected.
