Feb 14, 2018  All users of the PCs can use and see all Groups in Outlook and all but one Mac user can see their Groups in Outlook. I have one user that cannot see Groups at all on his Mac using Outlook 2016 for Mac. He can see Groups just fine in Outlook on the Web and from a Windows VM machine. Enable Group Calendars to show in Outlook 2016 Outlook 2016 allows access to Conversations, Calendar, Files and Notebook. However, it's not possible to view a Group Calendar in the Calendar pane, which means that you cannot display side-by-side calendar views with any other Outlook/SharePoint calendar.

Retro-fitting the amount of code required to support Office 365 Groups to older versions of Outlook is not an attractive engineering challenge.

They don’t exist in the on-premises space but in hybrid deployments, Office 365 Groups can be synchronized back to on-premises Active Directory via the AADConnect tool, where they function as distribution groups. There’s lots of interesting aspects to explore about Office 365 Groups, including the recent arrival of support in Outlook 2016, which is the focus of this article. Office 365 Groups are shared workspaces where group members can collectively get things done. When you set up a group, it automatically creates a shared inbox, group calendar, a place to save and share files and group notes, plus planning tools. The Office 365 Groups experience also extends to other services like Power BI and Dynamics CRM, and can be accessed on the go using the Outlook Groups app. This week’s Microsoft Mechanics takes a tour of updates to Office 365 Groups—spanning user, IT and developer experiences.
